Some of the information given here may seem choppy or inconclusive. This is a “running blog” and a continuation of a much greater story. You are encouraged to go to the main web-site to catch-up or read previous blogs. These blogs tell the story of Christian I(100% DAV, homeschooling pastor-dad with M.S.)and Christian II (son 3 years old-T1 diabetic)-BOTH TRYING TO RAISE MONEY FOR SERVICE DOGS!
Thank you for coming! If you have any comments or suggestions, please let us know :-)
Christian I – I love to write about whatever YOU want me to write
about. However, I’m actually glad that I didn’t receive any
comments last night. I have a great idea! Please feel free to continue to send
your comments in, but until you do I’m going to have the children do some
blogging. :)
So Mary and mom left for the orthodontist, and at this time they are still there. We finished our chores and had oatmeal while Joshua was enthusiastically talking about the aforesaid football game at our church.
While we were talking, the funniest thing happened. While Joshua was talking he lifted his glass of water and did something with it. I’m not sure what, but his bowl broke with oatmeal in it. So there he sat with a bowl that was split in half. We all thought this was funny. Mom may not though when she comes home :(

Today, I have no idea why, but I’ve got some serious paralysis
in my hands and I can barely speak. So, having Ethan blog with my seven year
old Elizabeth (the two E’s) is the course of action for today. I asked them to
focus on the question, “What is your regular day like?” –and they will take it
from there.
Elizabeth's turn – (Ethan is taking over now by interacting with and typing for her.) When asked what her
regular day is like, Elizabeth responded, “This morning I got up and brushed my
hair and teeth and got dressed. Then I cleaned my room and made my bed. I also
did my morning jobs (chores) and we ate oatmeal.
Then I asked her, “Do you
like oatmeal, Elizabeth?" and she said, "Yes, because I like putting milk and
honey in it." “What did you do when breakfast was finished?” “I did school" she
said. “I did my letter I book, math, music and penmanship. I finished my school! Now, I’m writing this blog." "God bless you!" she shouts! (She wanted to make sure that I wrote that!)
Ethan's turn – Elizabeth left out a lot of detail, so I’ll fill in
the gaps. We woke up and did various things before Mom and Dad got us to work (playing, reading, and wrestling).
Then we started our chores (like sweeping the floor, wiping off couches and
glass tables, etc.) - While Mary had to go to the Orthodontist to get her braces
fixed (For she broke them the night before playing football at our church).
After we did our (breakfast) cleanup chores, we started our school (you
know, math, brain exercises, reading, etc.) but the weather was so beautiful
that Dad wanted me to come outside. So outside we went. After we started a fire
in our outdoor fireplace, (which is normal procedure now for blog writing); we took my picture that we
are required to post on the National Bible Bee website (I was 73rd out of 1196 contestants. I needed to get into the top 120th place in the nation to qualify for the national
level).
I believe Dad (Christian I) is posting this picture at the bottom of
this blog. And after we took the picture, we started writing this blog. We’ll finish our school
later this day and I will spend tonight studying for the Bible Bee mentioned
above, not that it is irksome.
Rather, I obtain joy studying God’s word, not
only because I want to make it to the Semi-Final challenge round, but because I
learn more and more about Christ and His Love.
Christian II – (Ethan blogging) Dad has asked me to report
on little Christian today. His blood sugars are up and down again, but not as high or
as low as they were yesterday. He is the most loveable three year old boy in
the world in this beautiful weather! :) He is doing all right today, but with
diabetes we can never know what is going to happen next. Just as my dad says, we
need that dog! :)
